Racism, Sexism, Victimhood : What is a Victim Mentality

Share the Love

Racism and Sexism are symptoms of a victim mentality. What is a victim mentality? That is what we are going to cover today. We are going to see that you don’t have to live life as a victim. Victim hood is an illusion that someone else or your ego wants you see. It is not reality.

Living the state of victim hood holds a person back from experiencing happiness, joy, and gratitude in his or her life. A person must leave the state of victim hood if they want to attract and manifest good things into his or her life. I want to help you notice how victim hood is only an illusion and is not reality. Please, give me a chance to show you the truth. You are great. You are joy. You are happiness.

What is a Victim Mentality?

Many times, a victim mentality is created from true life events. It is an acquired personality trait in which a person tends to recognize or consider themselves as a victim of the negative actions of others, and to behave as if this were the case in the face of contrary evidence of such circumstances (Wikipedia, 2020).Victim mentality

Still, it is an acquired personality trait. Meaning, that someone who lives in this state has developed or adopted this state of being. They may truly believe and accept they are a victim of everyone and everything else. They use negative self-talk like, “The world is against me, I was born with bad luck, Everyone wants to abuse me, I cannot live a great a life because I am the wrong color, The majority of people want to keep me down, I was born with a terrible body, I was born stupid, I was born ugly”, and so on.

All these examples are symptoms of a victim mentality. They are not true. They are tricks of the ego. The ego is so good at tricking us into believing these thoughts that we expect them to be true. We rely on them to be as true as the ocean is deep or the sky is blue. We believe these thoughts so much that we attracted into our lives and back it up with lying proof. I promise you it is all lies and only tricks of the ego.

These types of thoughts destroy the lives that we live. They attract negative outcomes, people, and things into our lives. People who live in victim hood do not believe life can be any better because of these thoughts. And because the Law of Attraction brings into our lives what we believe with strong emotion, people in the state of victim hood only find proof that these thoughts of the ego are correct. They truly cannot live for the better.

People who live in the state of victim hood do not realize they choose to live in this state. They don’t know they are keeping the good life from themselves by adhering to these negative thoughts and listening to his or her ego.

Some People Are Taught They Are Victims

The state of victim hood can be passed down through family generations. Something happened in the past to a group or family of people and the children are warned by his or her parents about when the group or family was a victim of something. The children adopt these negative thoughts and pass them down through the next generations and so on.State of Victimhood

I was taught that my family was poor and because poverty was in my genes, then there was no hope of ever becoming wealthy. I was taught that the rich held down people like my family so the rich could remain rich. I was taught to give up on becoming wealthy and happy and to just accept the life I was given from birth.

I now know this is not true.

I have studied many biographies of wealthy people that came from poor backgrounds. I have read rags-to-riches stories. I myself became so broke at one time in life that I had to eat plants out of the yard and the local park. (You can read more about that here.) I decided that I was going to change my life for the better during this time and I truly have.

I was taught that my family was poor and because poverty was in my genes, then there was no hope of ever becoming wealthy.

I am wealthy in love, relationships, money, and happiness. Finding gratitude for everything in my life and everything soon to come completely changed my life. How Does The Ego Trick Us Into Victimhood?

To answer this question, I am going to quote a book called, “The Every day 12-Point Lifesaver.” It is written by David Cameron Gikandi. I recommend that you read it. It is under 100 pages long and it will help you understand what is true in life and what is only an illusion.

I am sure you maybe able to find it online, but I got my copy for free when I purchased Bob Doyle’s Wealth Beyond Reason Program. It was one of the free books that come with the program. You can read my review and learn more about the program by clicking this link. I learned a lot from the program and I am sure it will help you find your wealthy mindset that is more grand than just financial wealth.

What is your ego?

Ego is a creation of the mind. It is not you, your body, or your spirit. It is an illusion that wants you to believe it is real. The ego believes in separation, need, attack, fear, the possibility of failure, vulnerability, and so on. It is the opposite of love, infinite power, and abundance: your true spirit.Ego Binds

Your ego’s only goal is to maintain itself. It cannot do this without controlling your mind to make it appear real. It will bring up past experiences to help foster the idea that it is correct and always correct. Your ego is the one that tells you that you cannot do something or accomplish your dream. The truth is we can do whatever we believe we can. The ego knows this and tries to control our beliefs. If we believe we can do anything, then we diminish the ego. The ego does not want this to happen.

The ego is very tricky. It convinces your mind to believe your mind is the ego. It makes your mind believe that past experiences and memories define you. It makes you believe that you cannot change. It makes you believe in destiny or that you were born in lack and shall remain in lack, born to hated and will remain hated, born in bad luck and will remain unlucky, and so on.

The ego makes you believe that you are being attacked by outside forces that way your mind will not attack the ego and things it wants you to believe. When you believe that certain people want to attack you, then you put off a vibration of confrontation that causes you to feel as if you are being attacked even when you are not and attract people who do want to attack. The ego makes you believe in this illusion.

Like I mentioned, the ego is the opposite of love and abundance. It is an illusion that wants to live. When you drop the illusions created by the ego, then you can truly see reality. Reality is love and abundance, not fear and need.

Dropping Your Belief in the Ego

Decide to focus you energy and attention on abundance, unity, and unconditional love. That is how you drop the ego. Let your ego die by giving up all thoughts and illusions of fear, attack, vulnerability, failure, condemnation, and separation.

This may sound like a scary step or way to live your life, but be certain that is only the illusions of your ego telling your mind these things.

Your ego is a weight that holds you back from enjoying the greatness in life. Drop your ego and your life will truly become abundant in all aspects. You will find more love, joy, and wealth when you stop listening to your ego and call it the liar that it is.

Benefits of the Ego?

Your ego has a purpose. Without it, your would not have the thoughts of duality that allow you to understand what is good and not-so-good. You could not experience love without knowing what hate is and vise versa. You wouldn’t be able to Benefits of Ego

experience success without knowing what failure is.

The ego is a great tool that we use to understand opposites, but it is only a tool. The problems of the ego begin when we let the ego control our minds: When we give ego the power to control our thoughts and actions. This is the unhealthy side of ego. Remember the ego is a tool and that is all it will ever be. it doesn’t know what reality is. We get to choose our own realities, not the ego.

Conclusion

Racisim, sexism, fear, lack, and all negative things are just illusions created by the ego. They are not real. These thoughts are not reality unless we accept them as so. Drop your ego by dropping these types of thoughts and we can experience the true reality of love, abundance, and happiness.

Your ego holds you back from enjoying the great things in life. It makes you afraid of others, it makes you believe you are not good enough, and it makes you believe that the world is against you. None of this is true.

You were created by the Source out of love, just like all plants, animals, and minerals. The universe wants you to be abundant in all aspects of your life. We all want to experience love and give love in return. It is only our ego that makes us believe that anything else is true.

End racism, lack, fear, and all things that do not lead to unity, unconditional love, and abundance but seeing these things as the illusions they are. Change the world by leaving your ego behind and teaching others how to do the same.

    • Hi Catherine,
Many of us are not aware that we have a victim mentality. It is taught to us at an early age and we grow to believe it is a way of life… if not the way of life. It makes sense because when we were more primal we blamed all things good or not-so-good on forces outside of ourselves. When built houses to protect us from dangers like weather and wild animals. The victim mentality is a very natural and normal state to live in.

What we need to do is to move past the state of being called victimhood and start taking responsibility for our own actions and reactions. We need to understand that we are in control of our thoughts and therefore create our own reality. There is nothing wrong with fear. Fear is an emotion that protects us from danger. What is wrong is to remain in the state of fear, blame others for our own not-so-good choices, and refuse to believe that life is good with good intentions.

I pray your friend makes it out of her own fears.
      Peace and Gratitude 🙂
